Are you and your partner on the road to having a baby? This is an important milestone that requires the best planning, probably better than your wedding day. A child will bring you the most happiness and purpose in life. The first part of this milestone is to figure out which sex do you prefer. It doesn’t always matter. Many people just want a child regardless of the sex. However, others have a specific sex in mind.
If you’re one of those people who dream to have a boy to play football or a girl to dress up like you, you can have it. It’s possible to learn how to choose the sex of your baby. It’s not always guaranteed, but the results are high enough that you can tempt them. You don’t even have to spend a lot of money on costly IVF methods or sperm counting. Here are some natural ways that will benefit you if you want to learn about gender selection methods that won’t drain your wallet.
The Shettles Method
This method was invented by Dr. Landrum Shettles in the 1950s. It’s a little outdated, but it has some positive percentages. Dr. Shettles proposed that Y-sperms (boy) travelled faster than X-sperms (girl) but don’t survive as long. So, he gave couples a few tips to naturally select the sex of their baby. The first tip is to have sex as close as possible to the ovulation if you want a boy. You should avoid unprotected sex before that. If you want a girl, have sex up to two days before ovulation is expected. He said to also avoid sex when the cervical mucus is most fertile.
The second tip involves sexual positions. For a boy, it’s best to have rear entry intercourse so that the sperm is close as possible to the cervix since it has a low lifespan. For a girl, the missionary style is recommended. The sperm will be released where it’s more acidic, so the Y-sperm will die off while X-sperm survives.
The Whelan Method
The Whelan Method contradicts the Shettles method. It was invented by Dr. Whelan based on worked published in the 1970s by Dr. Guerrero. Because of biochemical changes in the female body during ovulation, Dr. Whelan said that it was better to have sex closer to ovulation if you want a boy. For a girl, you should have sex a couple of days before ovulation.
Another method is to follow a dietary program. The diet is supposed to help you in pH monitoring, calorie and fat intake, and mineral selections. For a girl, diets less in calories with higher acidity levels work. It also helps with low sodium and potassium, but high in calcium and magnesium. The opposite works for a boy.
Gender-selection can be dangerous especially with altering your diet. You should always be in contact with an expert and be monitoring your body. Choose the best plan for you and your baby.
